Clinical Innovation was assessed as a topic for a Special Interest Group with great success in September 2010, in Manchester in a meeting hosted by TrusTECH, the innovation body within the NW NHS Trust.
The group identified key objectives for a Special Interest Group, including:
- Networking of clinical innovation actors within clusters across Europe
- Sharing of good practice in developing and embedding clinical innovation
- Creation of joint projects between biocommunities in Europe
- Sharing of information on clinical assessments of technology between biocommunities
- Enabling SMEs to access clinical environments across Europe
