The Emerging Regions SIG within CEBR has a direct focus on regions that intend biotechnology to be an economic contributor. It brings together regions that have an excellent research foundation but have not yet built a fully matured commercial biotechnology community.
The group is represented by regions across Europe, from Scotland to Greece and from Portugal to Poland. It does not reflect the overall commercial maturity of a country, rather those regions that are earlier in their journey towards biotechnology as a commercial sector. The regions exist in every country in Europe.
The group is home to the cluster mentoring programme being built by CEBR, as part of the BioCT project and this will be developed with the input of all regions for maximum effect.
The group was launched in 2010 in Brussels and full outputs of that meeting, including agenda, delegates, slides and minutes are available below in the CEBR Drop Box. If you are a CEBR member and cannot access the Drop Box, please contact info@cebr.net for your invitation.
