Finance in biotechnology is a complex, global challenge. The market has struggled to bring private investment to high risk early stage companies, particularly in Europe, while the public purse cannot step into the gap effectively in times of cost cutting.
This group was launched within CEBR to look at the practical elements of how biocommunities and their managers can support the development of more effective funding tools and share tools between biocommunities for selection of the best young companies to support.
The group launched with a wide ranging meeting in Luxembourg in June 2010 and will hold its second meeting in Ghent, 5th May 2011.
