Sharing academic and industry skills

Assessed through the ABCEurope Project Cluster Management Special Interest Group - Stockholm, September 2nd 2011 'Building cluster culture'
The service
Alsace BioValley has the challenge to be a hub for life sciences work within Alsace.  The link between business and research is key and they have a number of activities to deliver this, including:
  • Connectus TTO represents all universities within the region
  • Placement of TT officers for 2 days/week in the Alsace BioValley offices to enable direct industry interaction and learning
  • This has created overlap between university and SME operation, interchange of culture, sharing of practice and ideas
This was developed with a very top down approach but MUST be implemented for bottom up.
